Entrance 46×46 mm, wall thickness 63 mm. Opening front wall height 50 cm and has climbing tracks for nestlings. Frame is 21 mm conifer plywood and roof is 9 mm film plywood.

The back wall of the nest box has wooden bars with holes for hanging straps. We recommend using 2 straps for hanging.

Fastening instruction

Pygmy Owl likes spruce- and mixed forests, but the nest box should be fastened to a spruce (or pine). Height can be 1,5–2,5 metres and this bird collects winter storage, so it’s recommended to have another nest box for that. Starling nest box also works as a good winter storage.
